A mom and dad surprised their three daughters with the news that they had adopted a baby boy by hiding him under the Christmas tree — and the girls' reaction was completely adorable.

Courtney Solstad wrote on Facebook that the family of five welcomed little Nathan into their family last week through adoption.

She wrote that their three girls had been excited at the prospect of adopting a baby, and her daughter Chloe even wrote it down as a Christmas wish this year.

"Chloe's Christmas wish came true," she wrote.

Instead of telling the girls right away, the Solstads decided to surprise their girls by placing their new brother under the Christmas tree. They then filmed their reactions.

It was with a final check of his Apple watch that prime minister Malcolm Turnbull unleashed upon the world... the "Ideas Boom".

The "Ideas Boom" is the phrase used to describe Turnbull's huge new $1.1 billion innovation program which is all about encouraging a new start-up culture and restoring millions of dollars in cut science and technology funding.

Among a huge raft of things, it involves:
- A new class of Entrepreneurs Visas to attract people to Australia.
- $459 million for science funding, including money to encourage science and maths education.
- Big tax breaks for investors to put money into Aussie start-ups.
- $200 million given to the CSIRO for commercial/start-up opportunities.

But really the star of the show was Turnbull's new focus on the so-called "Ideas Boom".

Turnbull declared "this is the century of ideas" and that (the heavily focus-grouped) "Ideas Boom" would replace the "Mining Boom" as the driver of Australia's economic growth.

They’ve also launched online Australia wide - this might be your new chain-store obsession.

Zara's homeware stores have a cult following across Europe and America. Now, Sydney's Pitt St Mall is home to Australia's second Zara Home store.

Australia's first Zara Home outlet opened in Melbourne's Highpoint shopping centre in February. To coincide with the Sydney launch, Zara Home has expanded its online store to ship nationwide, so the entire country can purchase its stylised wares.

Unlike the coordinated chaos you're often faced with in a Zara fashion outlet, Zara Home is curated with neat precision.

Displays are categorised according to collections. Currently, these include "Nordic", "Hotel", and "Milano".

Despite being smaller than its sister retail store a few shopfronts down, Zara Home is very well stocked.

Collections cover home accents, tableware, bed linen, occasional furniture, and even loungewear. You could just as easily shop here for pretty gifts, as you could for practical interior décor.

At it's core, "woman in a meeting" language is intentionally using overenthusiastic sentences and softer words in order to prevent coming off as abrasive. Many women (including myself) constantly apologize, use exclamation points, or preface points they'd like to make with "I think," or "I just."

After reading this and recognizing that many strong women throughout history were unapologetically themselves without fear of being called "abrasive" or a "bitch," I decided I would spend a week trying to eliminate this type of language from the way I speak.

When I started looking for my overuse of soft language... sadly, it wasn't too hard to find:
