21 Delicious Things To Do With Pumpkin Seeds

Axl Rose Has A Wonderful Halloween Tradition

Two words: Halloween tree! He says “it's one of the most evil things I've ever done.”

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose turned up on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live for his first live television interview in 20 years. He talked about his famous struggles with punctuality and his pre-Appetite For Destruction gig as the manager of a video store. He also kinda-sorta endorsed Barack Obama and brought cheeseburgers for everyone in the studio audience. Okay, okay, okay, cool, cool, cool. The really interesting thing was the revelation that Axl puts up a Halloween tree every year for the children of his friends and family.

Here's some photographic evidence:

"It's one of the most evil things I've ever done," he told Kimmel. "We have these Halloween parties, and I decided, let's have a Halloween tree. So we did the tree and put out presents, families come with their little kids, and the little kids stand there and I go 'Oh, you don't have a Halloween tree?' and they go 'Nooooo,' and I'd give them a present. And then their parents would call me for about three months, 'You son of a...'"

Rose also mentioned that he once dressed up as a giant ear of corn for Halloween, which may lead us halfway to an explanation for why a "sexy corn" costume exists.

Stephen A. Smith Definitely Just Said "Nigga Please" On TV

And it was by far the least obnoxious thing he's ever said.

During a discussion of whether Kobe Bryant would be ready for opening night, Stephen A's language got a little salty.

I have to admit, this actually makes me like Stephen A. more. He spends most of his time on TV getting in contrived arguments over manufactured controversies, all while carrying himself with an overall air of phony-ness. And though I'm not endorsing the use of that word, this feels spontaneous. This feels like Stephen A., just saying what he's thinking, rather than taking a side of an argument because he knows Skip Bayless (or whoever) will take the other side. If ESPN is going to subject us to such dangerously high quantities of Stephen A. Smith, I'd much prefer, off the cuff, cursing Stephen A. At least then I'll get to laugh while getting an ulcer.

18 Visual Brands For U.S. Presidents

Designer Meg Jannott challenged herself to make visual brands that mix together logos, nicknames and quotes of our nation's commanders-in-chief.

In an interview with Co.Design, she explains how she each brand came together.

"When I started to work on a president I did do some research to find out traits and characteristics about them--what they were known for, nicknames, etc. Then, I tried to use photography and typography to emulate those things. Some are more successful than others, but that’s all part of the process of the set, I think."

Her mission is to create brands for all of the U.S. Presidents. Check out a selected portion below:

That Words With Friends board game is just the tip of the disrupted iceberg.

PAPER By Paperless Post

PAPER By Paperless Post

Paperless Post launched in 2008 to disrupt the stationery business. With over 60 million digital invitations sent, why start a print business at the same time that Hallmark is closing factories and snail mail invitations are dying?

“When 50% of your users ask for something that's 10 times your price point, it would be a risk not to try it,” says CEO James Hirschfeld.

Warby Parker Showrooms

Warby Parker disrupted the eyewear industry by selling directly to customers with a home try-on program. But starting this fall, you can find the specs in 12 showrooms across the country.

“When we launched Warby Parker, we intended to be a purely online business,” says one of the founders, “but we realized the biggest challenge to selling glasses online is getting the fit right.”

Charles Barkley Says As Many Penis Nicknames As Possible In New Weight Watchers Ad

Weight Watchers' message to men? For every 35 pounds you lose, you may gain an extra inch of Prince Everhard III.

Source: youtube.com

On one hand this commercial is hilarious. And for that, I salute it. On the other, I don't think this is how the body works. For every 35 pounds you lose, your penis gets longer by an inch? How? Does your body reward you for working hard? "I can tell he's been putting in the hours, he deserves this. Penis cells, GROW!" That's not a thing. Stop pretending that's a thing, Weight Watchers.

Also, while we're talking, Weight Watchers, why are you using an advertising strategy that you stole from the side bars and pop ups of a porn website? I've heard people say a lot of complimentary things about the porn world, but never once has anyone said, "I can't watch any porn on the Internet without spending hundreds of dollars on pills and supplements. Their advertising is just so good!" Come on Weight Watchers. You can do better than that.

Quiz: How Well Do You Know Your Internet?

Test your knowledge of the weird world of the world wide web. All quotes are taken from various social networks - identify them and impress your friends (yeah, right) with your high score!

Some of the most fun accounts on Twitter are "TXT" accounts that take snippets of disembodied text from a certain website, forum, or social network for comic effect. @TumblrTXT, @Reddit_txt, etc...

They tease out the worst stereotypes - the lonely loser Redditor, the annoying guy explaining stuff on RapGenius, the Tumblr user arguing about priviledge and "otherkin rights". Seeing these snippets of real text from sites pop up in your Twitter feed without any context is a pure delight.

Here's a quiz that uses top tweets from a few of these. Can you figure out which site each sentence came from?

All quotes in the quiz come from my favorite "TXT" Twitter accounts:

@fanfiction_txt, @TumblrTXT, @rapgenius_txt, @furaffinity_txt , @PUA_txt, @Reddit_txt, and @KickstarterTXT.

Or you can follow this Twitter list that former BuzzFeed intern Brian Feldman made. Easy! Do it! You won't regret it!
