The CDC set out to warn women of the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome, but instead pretty much just blamed them for STDs and assault.
On Wednesday the Center for Disease Control issued this ~interesting~ infographic as a part of their Alcohol and Pregnancy education.
But the CDC is taking a new approach to preventing FASDs with this infographic. Their advice? Women should probably just stop drinking...entirely. Even if they're not pregnant.

A Zoo Has Just Allowed These Tiny Meerkat Pup's Outside For The First Time
Soooo tiiiiiiiny.
On January 7, Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, welcomed the birth of two meerkat pups. The pups were the first to be born at the zoo for seven years.
And now, the yet-to-be-named pups have taken one of their first big steps in life – literally – by venturing outside for the first time.
In a statement, their keeper Courtney Mahony said the pups were coping well with the new development.
"This is all new for them and they learn by observing their mum and dad," she said. "Nairobi is letting the pups suckle and grooming them at the right times and Maputo protects them, huddles over them, and curls up with them at night.”

Everything We Know About The "Gilmore Girls" Revival
You know, aside from the obvious: It will be epic!
After months and month of speculation, it was announced on Jan. 29 that the Gilmore Girls continuation series was officially happening at Netflix.
Since then, a ton of additional information has come to light, but it's often hard to hear facts over the non-stop hysterical screaming. So, here's a list that we'll be updating regularly of everything we know about Lorelai and Rory's return to Stars Hollow so far.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Literally Slow Jammed A Public Announcement

Garcetti recorded a public service announcement to warn L.A.'s car-loving populace about a planned bridge demolition that will close a portion of the 101 Freeway near downtown over the weekend.
And because this is Los Angeles, a full-scale marketing effort was created around a catchy hashtag.

The 40-hour shutdown of a 2.5-mile stretch of the 101 Freeway begins at 10 p.m. Friday, allowing crews to start demolishing the historic 6th Street Bridge.
The bridge, which dates to the 1930s, has been deteriorating due to a chemical reaction in the concrete. The $449-million replacement is expected to be completed by 2019.
