Buffy and the Scooby Gang are a little older than the Hawkins kids, but they still have that same "we're outsiders who love each other unconditionally" dynamic. And Willow Rosenberg will fill the Barb-sized hole in your heart. It's seven seasons long, which'll keep you occupied while we wait for new Stranger Things.

Twin Peaks
Stranger Things is very similar to Twin Peaks in a lot of ways — small town, weird stuff happens — but this '90s sci-fi staple just feels creepier. It's campier, weirder, and very David Lynch-y. Plus, "coffee and contemplation" easily could have been a Special Agent Dale Cooper line. It's only two seasons long, so you can whip right through — just make sure you have plenty of coffee and pie in the house before you dive in.

The Netflix original is a much darker, more sexual show than Stranger Things, but it also tackles supernatural powers and the emotional/physical toll they'd realistically take on a person. Jessica is like Eleven in 15 years — if she had never made friends and also became an alcoholic. There's only one 13-episode season so far, so it's a relatively fast watch.

This is like if Mike, Dustin, and Lucas were sisters instead of dude BFFs, and were also witches. Charmed is much more fantasy than sci-fi, but you still get some rad monsters and special effects, and lots more romantic drama. Plus, it's got that early '90s feel through all eight seasons — crop tops, butterfly hair clips, platform sandals, nondescript acoustic guitar background music — so there's a nice helping of happy nostalgia.

We sent Ed Eckstein to the Democratic National Convention with a 4×5 camera, an old-school film format that encourages a slow pace and is at total odds with online publishing.
Eckstein captured the following series of images, focusing in particular at the people on the sidelines and fringes, places outside the media scrum.
"I found that the Bernie supporters were certainly the most vocal and visual groups at the DNC," Eckstein said. "Even after Hillary received the nomination, a large contingent of supporters did not give up on the hope and ideals he set forth. Although the youth movement is often mentioned as one of his largest support groups, I found that his support crossed all ages. I have a strong feeling that we will be hearing the slogans of 'political revolution' and 'enough is enough' for some time to come."

He continued: "The DNC was basically a political convention inside an army base, inhabited by the entire alphabet soup of security groups. Working with a large-format camera is a challenge in any circumstance, and this was no exception. Even the simple act of using a light meter to take a reading brought a good deal of attention from security.
"Adding to this, I was stopped quite often to have the camera photographed and examined. Many of the hardened press photographers who would at most nod to their competition would come over to talk to the nonthreatening guy with a press camera."

There's A New Pokémon Go Update And People Are NOT Happy

If you opened up Pokémon Go in the last 48 hours and noticed something different, it's because there's been a big update.

At first, things seemed good. You can now re-customize your avatar!
That's super helpful for those of us whose clothes didn't match our team color.

But people quickly noticed something was amiss: The tracking footprints, which have been bugged for days, are now completely gone.
That means we have no way of telling how close a Pokémon is to us, and no way of tracking them down. It's possible that Niantic just decided to remove the feature until it's fixed, but there's been no communication on that point.
What's worse, tracking sites like Pokévision — which helped trainers find nearby Pokémon since the footsteps feature was bugged — are mysteriously shutting down.
According to Pokévision's Twitter, their shutdown was at the request of Niantic and Nintendo.

Trace out the design or phrase you want on top of a homemade cake with a toothpick first, then write over that with icing.
It gives you a little template, and you can easily "erase" any mistakes by smoothing the icing back out. Then, to make it even easier, fill out the text with small stars instead of trying to write out the letters like you would with a pen.

Add some sparkle to a transparent phone case by attaching a piece of glitter vinyl.
You can buy a 5-pack of glitter vinyl sheets (that will make lots of phone cases, or that you can use for other projects) for $20.49 here. Make sure your piece of vinyl is a little larger than your phone case, both vertically and horizontally. Then slowly apply the sheet from left to right, making sure you tuck in the edges neatly, and smooth out any air bubbles.
Hot-glue a few yards of colorful fringe to your beach or patio umbrella to easily refresh it.
It's ~like~ you bought a new one, but you didn't actually have to spend more than a few dollars (you can get chainette fringe for about $1.50/yard in lots of different colors here). Don't rush this project: Make sure the glue dries in each section so the fringe doesn't fall as you go along. You could also use the same technique to add coordinating fringe to your outdoor pillows or throws.
