People Are Loving This Single Mom's Reaction To A Dads-Only School Event
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Yevette Vasquez is a proud single mother who lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her three sons.

"I normally drop him off early and sit with him in the car until the bell rings," Vasquez told BuzzFeed. "When I asked him why so many other people were there early that day, he said, 'It’s just Donuts with Dads.'"
Donuts with Dads is a morning get-together for students and their fathers, Vasquez explained, adding that the school also organizes a "Muffins with Moms" event and a meeting for students and their grandparents.
"I could've dressed like your dad," Vasquez jokingly told her son once she found out what was going on. Much to her surprise, Elijah loved the idea.
"I thought for sure he would be embarrassed or ashamed, but he wanted to go all the way," Vasquez said. "He said, 'That would be a great idea, we still have 10 minutes before it starts. Wanna go home and change?'"

They quickly drove the seven minutes home, where Elijah accessorized his mother with a toy mustache, a baseball hat, and a chain.
"At that moment when I did it, it was a spur-of-the-moment decision so he wouldn't feel left out," she said. "I didn’t think much about it as we were getting ready, it all happened so fast."

But finding the right pair of jeans can sometimes feel like hunting for a diamond earring in a pile of old denim castoffs. You try a pair on in the store, and they seem perfect! Except once you get them home, they stretch, and when you wash them, they shrink, and by the time you’ve worn them for a full week, they don’t look anything like the pair you tried on in the dressing room.
So we decided to solve the mystery once and for all: we each spent a week in five pairs of skinny jeans from Forever 21, H&M, Old Navy, American Eagle, and Target, and figured out which pairs were going to actually last.

This Kid Shamed His Mom For Falling Asleep Every Time She Asks For A Snack

This is Nick Avallone, a 20-year-old student from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and his mother, Eleanor. "She's a saint," Nick told BuzzFeed News.

Nick found it both pretty endearing and ridiculous, so he decided to take pictures and "mom-shame" her.
His mom fell asleep "consistently enough that I had to make a post," said Nick.
He made a sign and posted it to his Tumblr and Instagram.
"I adore my mom beyond words but I have to mom-shame her for always doing this to me," he wrote.

This Teen Retook His Senior Year Photo To Make Sure His Highlight Would Pop And Zendaya Is Here For It

When 17-year-old James Charles from Bethlehem, New York, received his senior year photos, he wasn't too happy with them. So he took matters into his own hands and retook them to ensure his highlighter would pop. And wow: It really popped.

The aspiring makeup artist and student told BuzzFeed News that when he initially had his school photos taken the "lighting was not ideal for my makeup so all my hard work at 7am didn't pay off".
Unhappy with the results, Charles emailed the photography company asking if he could re-take his photos and bring along his trusty ring light. Luckily for Charles they said yes. His ring light was set up on his tripod while his picture was being taken.
He said he wouldn't normally go the extra mile like this but "it was my senior picture and I knew it would be in the yearbook forever".
Charles said: "I do love being extra. I'm actually a pretty reserved person, I promise. When I say I'm extra it usually just comes to my makeup looks being extravagant, and I'm also never afraid to drag a local boy when he's being rude on Twitter."
Charles said he wanted to make sure his yearbook picture was "iconic". His friend Delaney went along with him to the second shoot. Typically students get a chance to take a picture with their pals and, of course, Charles put his own spin on this as he and Delaney posed for his "mugshot".

This Puppy Has To Have A Special Chair To Help Him Eat
Eli is a very special pup.
This is Eli. Eli is a 7-month-old puppy from Idaho.
When Eli was younger his owner noticed that he wasn't putting on weight as fast as the rest of his litter and that he seemed to struggle keeping food down. Eli was diagnosed with persistent right aortic arch, meaning he had a constricted esophagus, so food couldn't pass through properly.

Faced with a tough decision, his owners handed him over to Ada Animal Hospital and veterinary assistant Savannah.

Savannah and Ada Animal Hospital crowdfunded Eli's surgery, which was done at a reduced cost. It was a success, but the puppy still struggled with regurgitation problems due to muscles weakened by his previous condition. A second surgery was performed, but Savannah, now his owner, was worried about his quality of life.

After some research, the hospital discovered that there was a thing called a bailey chair – a sort of high chair for dogs – which would not only allow Eli to be fed, but might also actually improve his condition.
