17 People Suffering From "Malört Face"

Apparently, there is a liquor from Chicago that is famous for being absolutely repulsive. You make a very specific face the first time you drink it.

Source: traceface

"Most first-time drinkers of Jeppson Malort reject our liquor. Its strong, sharp taste is not for everyone. Our liquor is rugged and unrelenting (even brutal) to the palate. During almost 60 years of American distribution, we found only 1 out of 49 men will drink Jeppson Malort. During the lifetime of our founder, Carl Jeppson was apt to say, 'My Malort is produced for that unique group of drinkers who disdain light flavor or neutral spirits.'

It is not possible to forget our two-fisted liquor. The taste just lingers and lasts - seemingly forever. The first shot is hard to swallow! PERSERVERE. Make it past two 'shock-glasses' and with the third you could be ours...forever"

Via: en.wikipedia.org

This is a place to post pictures of peoples' faces after they drink Jeppson's Malort. Malort is some nasty stuff and I think you can only buy it in Chicago (or around Chicago)

I have heard it described as "if you drank water out of an ash tray"

Syria's Amateur Photographers Tell The Story Of Their Civil War

An American-Canadian group for Syrian expats has launched a project to collect photos from Syrians on the ground. A ground-level view of devastation.

The Syrian Expatriate Organization's "Lenses of Freedom" project publishes the work of amateur Syrian photographers documenting that country's turmoil.

The photos range from cell phone snapshots to higher-quality images from those with better equipment, but all were taken at varying degrees of personal risk by Syrians, not journalists or professional photographers. Some of the photos have been exhibited in Toronto. Most are from November or prior.

"They're all young Syrian amateurs (aged between 18-22 years old) who had photography as a hobby and found the revolution as a way to practice this hobby," said Maher Azem, a Syrian expat living in Toronto who organizes the project. "Some of them were actually killed/arrested by the regime."

The video was created by Cesar Kuriyama. Kuriyama left his job as an advertiser and decided to take a year off from the rat race in order to pursue his interests. At this time, he began recording one second from each day of his life, ultimately planning for the footage to culminate in a sort of heavily abridged biopic. He discussed his project with TED in a talk earlier this year.

More about Kuriyama can be read here. His TED talk can be found at that link as well.

Watch LeBron James Rap About Sweating After Taking Ecstasy

“Popped a molly I'm sweating, WOO.” Unfortunately, LeBron did not write that lyric himself.

Before the Knicks-Heat game on Dec. 6, cameras caught LeBron James warming up. As he warmed up, he rapped to himself. Here is what he rapped, in a glorious a five-minute loop.

He rapped, "Popped a molly I'm sweating," a line from the Trinidad James song "All Gold Everything." Hey, Urban Dictionary, can you tell us what a molly is?

1. molly — "another name for ecstasy, pure kind and fucking brilliant"

Got it. Now, obviously we're not suggesting that LeBron was actually taking a molly or anything. But this five-minute video of him rapping that over and over is strangely riveting.

The fantastically geeky intro from 1992's animated X-Men painstakingly reconstructed in stop motion. Good.

After over 4,000 individual photos, Reckless Abandonment Pictures director, Kyle Roberts, spent two months rotoscoping and animating all of the special effects. "I absolutely loved working on the project, to be able to work on something this long... yo've gotta love it! I hope it brings back some good memories for the viewers and they enjoy it as much as we did creating it!"

This was posted on Ke$ha's twitter Tuesday night:

"The day after the shooting ... airplay dropped by 3 million listeners ... a sign that stations were slowly pulling the song off the air.

By Monday ... "Die Young" took a huge hit on the radio ... dropping down to 148 million listeners ... a 19 million drop from what had been a pretty steady rotation before the shooting."

Via: tmz.com

“I had my very own issue with ‘die young’ for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO. I'm so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy and I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express.”

Via: hollywoodreporter.com

The tweet has since been deleted.

Still, it's unclear what long-term effect this will have on Ke$ha's song or her album sales. (Clear Channel, which owns 850 radio stations nationwide, told BuzzFeed the company had no comment, and Ke$ha's management at RCA Records did not respond to emails.) Last week, "Die Young" was near the top of Billboard.com's Radio Plays List and Hot 100 List.

Countries Where "Gangnam Style" Is Not The Most-Watched YouTube Video Of 2012

$

0

As if we don't know it yet, YouTube has announced “Gangnam Style” is the world's most-watched video of 2012 . There are, however, places where PSY has yet to conquer.

Argentina

The official music video of "Gangnam Style" is nowhere in Argentina's Top 10 YouTube Videos of 2012, although a fan-made, Spanish-subbed video of the song is at #6. Grabbing the top spot is the music video of "Mi Nena Facebook" by five-man cumbia group Los Nota Lokos.

Brazil

"Gangnam Style" is only #2 on the list, with "Camaro Amarelo" by Munhoz & Mariano blocking PSY's way to the top.

Colombia

Neither the music video nor the Spanish-subbed version are in the country's Top 10 list, which is dominated by videos from Latin urban music artists. Leading the pack is "Te Pintaron Pajaritos" by reggaeton duo Yandar & Yostin (featuring Andy Rivera).

India

"Gangnam Style" also only managed to reach #2 among India's Top Trending YouTube videos this year. Rapper Honey Singh, the country's highest-paid music artist, steals PSY's thunder with his music video of "Brown Rang,"
