Chelsea Clinton Grills Rick Warren On Marriage Equality

Clinton, an NBC News correspondent and supporter of LGBT equality, sat down with the pastor to challenge his position as a loving Christian who condemns same-sex marriage.

Source: msnbcmedia.msn.com

During an segment for Rock Center, Clinton grills Warren on his stance on marriage equality and homosexuality and how that conflicts with his Christianity. He explains how he doesn't have to approve homosexuality:

"I don't hate anybody. In fact, I'm commanded by Jesus Christ to love everybody. I'm commanded to treat them with respect. As I've mentioned many times, there's a difference between acceptance and approval."

Midway through the interview, Warren suggests that Clinton's (and other journalists') questions are part of a "hidden agenda." Clinton responds to the charge:

"It's not a hidden agenda. But in a year in which we had equal marriage in different ways on the ballot, and now after those votes, there's equal marriage rights in nine out of our 50 states, and a majority of Americans now said in 2012 that we as a country support equal marriage largely, I think that's why people keep asking you."

Warren becomes visibly agitated by Clinton's persistence to get the pastor to address the questions:

"Well, what do they expect a Christian pastor to answer? I don't believe the bible anymore? ... We're in a democracy, Chelsea. So nobody wins all the time. And gay marriage might become the rule someday. That doesn't mean I think it's right. I do not favor the redefinition of marriage."

30 Moments From 2012 That Everyone Can Enjoy

2012 Was Not Tim Tebow's Year

Could've gone better. All of it.

BuzzFeed Sports Presents: The Year In Tebow

Arguably the greatest college football player of all time, Tim Tebow's NFL career had a rough start that finally seemed to smooth out in 2011 as he made it to the second round of the playoffs with the Broncos. So, how did 2012 go? Spoiler alert: not well.

Chapter 1: Miracle 2011 Season Ends With Large, Non-Miraculous Loss

Chapter 1: Miracle 2011 Season Ends With Large, Non-Miraculous Loss

Based on the way it started off, 2012 really seemed like it could be the Year Of Magical Tebowing. After taking over as the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback in Week 6 and leading them to a 7-4 record over the rest of the season, Timmy Tremendous pulled off a terrific and to this day inexplicable upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round of the playoffs. But afterward, in the divisional round, the Broncos came up against the NFL's premiere eviscerator of dreams: Bill Belichick's New England Patriots. Tebow got throttled, dismantled, and otherwise destroyed by the Pats, completing only 9 passes out of 26 en route to a 45-10 loss. A terrible loss, but Tebow had seemingly established himself as the starter on a playoff-caliber team, so the future looked bright, right? Turns out the light at the end of the tunnel was just a train filled with garbage. A garbage nightmare train.

Chapter 2: Tebow Comes To The Big City

In March, Denver signed Peyton Manning to become their starting QB. Manning was about to turn 36 years old and had just sat out an entire season with career-threatening spinal problems. Tebow was 24 and in Spartan physical shape. It says something about the esteem in which the NFL held Tebow's 2011 season that the Broncos' decision was widely considered a smart one.

With Manning in town, there wasn't a whole lot of reason to hold on to Tebow, and so with little fanfare (ha) and next to no media attention (double ha), he was traded to the New York Jets.

That press conference can be seen above. In it, Tebow says the word "excited" 44 times.

“Wiseman” wasn't included in the final line up for Quentin Tarantino's soundtrack but it didn't stop the crooner from posting it to Tumblr.

In a statement to Pitchfork, Tarantino explained why he didn't include Ocean's track in the film:

"Frank Ocean wrote a fantastic ballad that was truly lovely and poetic in every way, there just wasn't a scene for it. I could have thrown it in quickly just to have it, but that's not why he wrote it and not his intention. So I didn't want to cheapen his effort. But, the song is fantastic, and when Frank decides to unleash it on the public, they'll realize it then."

Check out the Django Unchained soundtrack, featuring Rick Ross and John Legend, here. Ocean also posted the lyrics, which are seen below.

Gay Radio Hosts Turn Hate Into A Message Of Hope

After a billboard was vandalized twice, Craig Olsen and Robbie Laughlin of “The Craig & Robbie Hour” opted to have a local artist turn the defamation into a “message of hope.”

First erected in July, the radio show's billboard near the corner of Beverly Boulevard and La Brea Avenue was covered in purple paint over the summer. The replacement was later pelted with paintballs in November. But after the second hate crime, co-host Craig Olsen opted not to have the advertisement reprinted. Instead, he commissioned artist Jaime Ochoa to turn the hate into a piece of art.

"I wanted to turn this [gay] hate crime into a positive message for the community," Olsen tells FishbowlLA.

The investigation following the November vandal has resulted in no leads. While Olsen remains on edge, he's clearly more confident now that the billboard has been enhanced by the artwork. The co-host is reminding people in the neighborhood that "[they] belong here."

"It's almost like my holiday card to my community," he tells the Los Angeles Times while being photographed in front of the billboard. "I want the person who did this to walk by and see that I made it better."
