Woman, 20, Dies After Losing Arm In Hawaii Shark Attack
A young German tourist who lost her arm in a shark attack last Wednesday in Maui died after being on life support for a week. It was the first deadly shark attack in the state since 2004.
Jana Lutteropp, 20, was snorkeling 100 yards off shore in choppy waters at Maui's Palauea Beach in Makena State Park last week when her arm was ripped off in a horrific shark attack.
Rick Moore, a physical education teacher and pastor, said he heard a "bloodcurdling scream" and saw "blood everywhere in the white water around her." He heroically dove into the water to save her.
Rick Moore, 57, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., stands at Palauea Beach in Makena on the island of Maui a day after he jumped into the water to rescue Lutteropp.

"I saw her floating on her back, with no arm," he recalled. "It was completely severed from her body."
As Moore swam her to shore, Lutteropp repeatedly said she was dying.

Is This The New Gold iPhone 5S?
Photos purporting to show the shell of a forthcoming gold iPhone model leaked onto a Japanese website early Thursday.
Apple reportedly is preparing to release a new gold, or what some are calling "champagne," colored iPhone model next month.
The new device will be introduced at an Apple event on Sept. 10, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The back of the new device may feature a thinner font in the "iPhone" inscription, possibly a style cue from the software's dramatic redesign in iOS 7, which is set to ship at the same time.
Aside from the new color (and possibly font) the phone appears to be identical in design to the current iPhone 5 model.
