The 57-year-old woman had recently travelled to Sierra Leone and worked for one month in a hospital treating patients with Ebola.

Australian health authorities have placed a woman under observation with fears she contracted the Ebola virus while working in a Red Cross hospital in Sierra Leone.

Queensland's Chief Medical Officer Dr Jeanette Young said the 57-year-old woman had spent one month working in the Ebola field hospital and was under "home isolation" when she reported symptoms of a mild fever this morning.

If infected the volunteer nurse would be Australia's first patient with the Ebola virus.

Dr Young called the woman "an amazing lady" for volunteering to help manage the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa and for self-reporting to the hospital.

She also said a Brisbane doctor had recently returned from the region and is undergoing the same "home isolation" process.

It's the second time Queensland health authorities have responded to an Ebola scare, with a man (pictured) reporting symptoms of the virus was cleared within hours of reporting his condition last month.

14 Awful Moments In Olive Garden Owner's Terrible Year

Darden Restaurants must be dying for 2014 to end.

Keith Bedford / Reuters / Reuters

As Olive Garden parent company Darden Restaurants prepares to face off against activist hedge fund Starboard Value at its annual shareholder meeting this Friday, here's a look back at some of the craziest, most drama-filled moments in the nearly year-long saga.

Barington released a presentation on Olive Garden and Red Lobster in mid-December outlining why Darden should split into two different businesses, or spin off the two struggling chains, calling the new business "Darden Mature," and strive to keep upper management stable and improve its focus.

The activist hedge fund currently leading the charge for change at Darden bought a 5.6% stake in the company a few days after Barington released its presentation, and added its name to the Darden improvement cause. It would end up having a lot of ideas of its own on how to turn Darden around.

$o... What do I tell you about Orkut??? Besides the fact that it was completely and utterly osumm!

O - Outstanding
R - Ravishing
K - Kute
U - Uber
T - Totally Awesome (◣_◢)

Now kids, let me tell you the story of how I met Orkut. It was back in 2005 when a friend sent me an invite to sign up and enter this magical, bizarre universe.

Maybe it was the power to comment and scrap anonymously or maybe it was knowing your "recent visitors" but either way, Orkut won my desi dil immediately. (Bye Hi5, c u l8 MySpace, muahz.)

Meeting at friends' houses was replaced with meeting in Orkut groups and juggling them with MSN Messenger chatrooms. Getting more "testis" and scraps than everyone else in class became our #1 priority, and it bred the fiercest competition. (Admit it: We were nice to certain people just so they'd write testimonials for us.)

LOLzz. =)) So kewl we were na? Haha. LOL.

Didn't even realize when I became addicted, Orkut, but suddenly u became a ~big part of mah l!fe~. You were the first bite of the social media addiction bug that I now carry onto your classier (and probably safer) successors, Facebook and Twitter. I'll never forget you, xoxo <3

Two GOP Congressmen Say Suspected Terrorists Caught Crossing U.S.–Mexico Border

The Republican lawmakers told BuzzFeed News terrorists are infiltrating the U.S. from the southern border, even as Homeland Security officials deny those claims.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a Republican from Utah, said four alleged terror suspects were captured on Sept. 10 in Texas. In an interview Wednesday, Chaffetz said the men flew from a Middle Eastern country to Mexico City, where they paid a smuggler to take them to and across the border. From there, the men ended up in a safe house for immigrants. They were en route to New York City, Chaffetz said, when they were captured.

Chaffetz would not reveal his source of the information, but said he confirmed it with government officials. "I had an informant tell me about it and then I questioned the Secretary of Homeland Security," he said. "I have no doubt about its authenticity."

The four alleged terror suspects had affiliations with groups other than the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Chaffetz said. He added that they were still being held in Texas as of Wednesday.

California Rep. Duncan Hunter, a Republican who represents San Diego County, made headlines Tuesday when he said to Fox News' Greta Van Susteren that he had "asked Border Patrol" about terrorists and learned that several had been captured.

Hunter claimed 10 terror suspects had been caught near the border, including four people allegedly captured in September.

"I know at least 10 ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas," he said on the program.

Hunter's spokesman Joe Kasper told BuzzFeed News the congressman's assertion that 10 terror suspects had been captured along the border included the same four people described by Chaffetz. Kasper claimed four other suspects had been captured within the last 36 hours, and pointed to a Judicial Watch story that allegedly "confirmed" the most recent captures to back up his assertion.

Two additional suspects were picked up sometime after the first group in September, but before this week, Kasper said.

Monica Wehby Blames Second Plagiarized Health Care Plan On Former Staffer

“We’ve already dealt with this.”

youtube.com

Oregon Republican Senate candidate Monica Wehby responded Thursday to a BuzzFeed News report that she plagiarized her health care plan from her primary opponent. Wehby explained to Oregon Public Broadcasting that "this is all the same" and had "already been dealt with."

"I think this is all the same issue," Wehby said. "It's already been dealt with and taken care. We've already dealt with this as a campaign. This was done by people who are no longer with the campaign.:

BuzzFeed News first reported last month that Wehby's original health care plan, which was published in a press release in November 2013 and was scrubbed from her website earlier this year, was plagiarized from a survey done for Karl Rove's group, Crossroads USA, about what voters would respond to on health care.

BuzzFeed News then reported Wehby also plagiarized the health care plan that replaced her previous copied plan. Strangely, the plan copied her her primary opponent Oregon Rep. Jason Conger, whom she criticized throughout the primary on health care.

"We've already dealt with this. We've already taken the necessary steps to correct the problem," Wehby said when asked to explain by OPB how it happened twice.

The plagiarized language still remains on Wehby's website.
