At a Tribeca Talks After the Movie: Inside Amy Schumer panel on Sunday, April 19, Schumer was asked how she managed to write a comedy sketch about rape and make it funny and also empowering to rape survivors.
"It's a risk because some people will be upset just at hearing the word and you can maybe look at that scene and think we're making light of something so serious, but we really are trying to educate," she said. "It's like, we know what message we want to send and we also think of what premise is funny and then we'll go to town."

Police have spoken to Spedding a number of times as part of the investigation into Tyrell's disappearance, and searched his property extensively late last year.
Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin visited the whitegood repairman's home earlier this week.
Spedding was taken into custody at about 1.30pm on Wednesday afternoon at his Bonny Hills home. He has consistently denied any involvement in Tyrell's disappearance, and officers have stressed his arrest is unrelated.

John Key Says He Was Just "Horsing Around" When He Pulled Waitress's Ponytail
“John seemed to think that his job demanded less professionalism than that of a waitress, yet he’s the one that’s running our entire country.”
The prime minister of New Zealand has been labelled "weird" and a "schoolyard bully" for repeatedly tugging on the hair of a waitress at an Auckland cafe.
The waitress wrote about the incident in an anonymous post on the left-wing blog The Daily Blog.
She said the PM touched her hair on several occasions when he and his wife Bronagh came into the cafe.
"In the beginning, the first time he pulled on my hair, I remember thinking to myself he's probably just trying to be playful and jolly, seeing as the general consensus of most who meet him is 'he's such a nice guy'".

She says the prime minister used to "raise his hands high and make scary, suspense sound effects, like the music from the movie Jaws that we all know so well."
Universal Pictures
The prime minister has been forced to defend his actions today, telling reporters that his hair-pulling was a "bit of banter" and that he apologised as soon as he realised his actions were not appreciated.
"We have lots of fun and games there, there's always lots of practical jokes and things. It's a very warm and friendly relationship.
"But if you look at it now, no. When I realised she took offence by that I just sort of immediately went back, gave her some wine, apologised and said I was terribly sorry," Key said.
"It was all in the context of a bit of banter that was going on, and so obviously I immediately apologised for that.
"She thanked me for that and said 'that's all fine, no drama'".

This Message From Green Day To Their Fans Will Melt Your Heart
♫ Dearly beloved, are you listening? ♫
As you may know, Green Day were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this past weekend.
Other impressive inductees included Lou Reed, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Ringo Starr. NO BIG DEAL.

This was the first year Green Day were eligible for a nomination, and their induction puts them in some impressive company — Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, and Run-D.M.C. to name just a few.
This year's guidelines state, "Bands need to have released their first single or album in 1989 or earlier." Green Day released their EP, 1,000 Hours, in April 1989.

And the band is clearly grateful for the support they've received. On Monday, Billie Joe Armstrong shared an incredibly heartfelt message thanking the Green Day "family" on his Instagram:
dear you
I can't express enough how much love is in my heart for all of you in our green day community.
for me to try to put it into words almost feels awkward.
sometimes I don't always like to use the word "fan". I think I can speak on behalf of me mike and Tre when I call you family or community. Because you all truly grew up together with us and shared this journey together.
this is more than an award. it's the privilege to play music, write songs and follow this psychotic passion called rock n roll.and We share this honor together. because honestly YOU ARE our rock n roll hall of fame.
idiot nation foreverrage and love
