The self-respecting Shiba that she is, she has none of it. Except one time she allowed a scarf. I wouldn't say she was "pleased," but I will say she "let me do it." Out of respect, I stop unless wine is involved (HEY, I'M ONLY HUMAN).
As a result, I've begrudgingly accepted that our only mother-daughter physical traits lie in our freckled noses.

This weekend a little red panda named Tofu made her first public appearance at the Detroit Zoo!
Tofu's mom is 10-year-old Ta-Shi, and her dad is Shifu, who is 6. Here's a throwback picture to when the lovers first met:
The happy parents were delighted to welcome their cub, Tofu, into the world on June 22.
On Saturday, Ta-Shi brought Tofu out for her first public appearance at the zoo. But Tofu was very nervous, hiding underneath her mom's tail for protection.

These Jaw-Dropping Halloween Costumes Are For Kids In Wheelchairs
Magic Wheelchair was started by a father of five to help kids in wheelchairs have the coolest costume on the block.
Magic Wheelchair is a nonprofit created by Oregon-based dad Ryan Weimer, who has spent years building costumes for his three children that use wheelchairs for mobility.
Out of his five kids, three of them have Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Weimer, who works full time as a nurse, has assembled teams that spend 100 to 200 hours per each, incredible costume.
"Giving families and kids those experiences that we’ve been able to have year after year, it’s awesome. I love it," Weimer told BuzzFeed News. "My kids are seen as superstars and not looked at with sympathetic eyes or sadness."
This year, eight children will get costumes like a Mario Kart, a SpongeBob boat, a Frozen ice castle, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van.

"New Humans Of Australia" Is The Perfect Response To Negative Reporting Of Refugees
Celebrating the voices of refugees and migrants who call Australia home.
"New Humans of Australia" is a Facebook page and project celebrating the voices of refugees and migrants.

It's been running for about a month and aims to show the positive stories behind refugees that aren't always explored in mainstream media.
The founder of the project, Nicola, told BuzzFeed News that she got the idea after working with a lot of refugees within the Australian government's Adult Migrant English Program.
"I got to hear a lot of amazing stories. At the same time, the stories about refugees coming through the mainstream media were often negative."
"I've always been a huge fan of "Humans of New York", and was inspired to try the same style with the people I was working with."

Nicola's favourite person to talk so so far has been Roda, a refugee who arrived in Sydney eight years ago after a long journey across Africa.

These Epic Aerial Night Shots Show That Sydney Is Stunning From Every Angle

Aerial photographer James Morgan, has been flying around in helicopters for 32 years and has a keen eye for jaw-dropping shots.
And now he's turned his lense to Sydney after dark.

Morgan told BuzzFeed, "Everyone knows Sydney is an exciting city but it's even more so when you're looking at it from above."
"While anyone can technically take nice photos from a helicopter, you really need to have a pilot and photographer that know what they're doing. Photos of this sort are hard to come by because there are very few qualified helicopter operators."

While the pay off from aerial photography is obvious, Morgan stresses that safety is his main priority.
"When it comes to drones, they are a necessary addition to my world but operators need to be respectful as unidentified drones can pose extreme dangers to helicopters."

Man Tries To Kill Spider With Lighter At Gas Station, Instead Starts Fire
Well that’s one way to do it.
Early last Tuesday morning, a man at a Detroit gas station was startled while pumping gas by a spider that was crawling on his fuel tank. Surprised by the critter, he used a lighter to try to kill it. A fire immediately erupted.
"He didn't have a cigarette, he didn't have anything on him. All of a sudden I look out, and I see flames," employee Susan Adams, who was working that morning, told Fox 2 Detroit.
Flames were seen engulfing one side of the car along with the fuel pump in only a matter of seconds.
Yikes!
Adams acted quickly and pressed the automatic stop button, while the man ran for a nearby fire extinguisher to put out the flame.
