But it's not without controversy.
Businesses are a bit shitty because they have to pay penalty rates and argued it would dent the economy. One reports suggests it could cost the economy $900 million.
Yep. $900 million for a day off.
How’s the South Australian serenity?
With so many options close to the Adelaide CBD, it's hard to know where to start, but Seacliff is the perfect beach location to duck down to after work for your ocean fix.
Moana is your classic not-too-far-not-too-close local holiday destination. You're still in civilisation, but you don't feel the hustle and bustle of the city beaches.
Goolwa beach stretches on for days, with ample room for kicking the footy, throwing the frisbee or relaxing with a good read.
Grab your board and hit the waves of Boomer but be careful if you're a novice, it can get a little rough out there!

“Flakka” or “gravel” has been showing up in Australia since 2012.
Earlier this week, 7News reported a synthetic drug known as "flakka" had arrived on Australian shores.
"Flakka" otherwise known as "gravel" is an NPS (New Psychoactive Substance) and users can often end up hallucinating and acting dangerously.
The drug has been linked to several deaths in the United States, and in August MTV were even looking for some flakka addicts for a new episode of their reality show True Life.
It is described by many as a type of "bath salt", infamous for the 2012 incident which saw a user chew the face off of a homeless man.
Channel 7 News
A chemical cousin of cathinone, Flakka derives from the compound alpha-PVP. It's designed to be a stimulant - enhancing emotions, physical feelings and awareness - however little is known about how the drug affects the brain.
According to an entry in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, these effects occur within 30 to 40 minutes after consumption and can be likened to the behavior caused by cocaine, PCP, LSD and methamphetamine.
It can be smoked, injected, swallowed, and snorted - purchased in a range of different mediums from crystals to pills.

"'Flakka' is a synthetic cathinone and is a schedule prohibited drug within NSW," he said. "It has been seen here sold as bath salts and was linked to the death of a man in 2012. Thankfully, we have seen little of this particular drug but we continue to look out for new and emerging substances."

He will face Labour’s Sadiq Khan in the battle for British capital next May.
Matt Tucker / BuzzFeed
The MP for Richmond Park easily beat Tory rivals for the chance to succeed Boris Johnson. It means he will face Labour MP Sadiq Khan in the battle to take City Hall next May.
Goldsmith won a decisive 70.6% of the vote in the Tory contest. But only 9,227 voters turned out – compared to a total of 87,884 in Labour's contest. While Goldsmith won his race with 6,514 votes, Khan attracted 48,152 votes.
Goldsmith said: "I am honoured to have been chosen as the Conservative mayoral candidate and I will work tirelessly to repay that debt. I have campaigned hard as an MP, delivering for my constituents and I will fight just as hard to become mayor so we can build on the progress under Boris in making London work for Londoners."
Johnson, who is stepping down as mayor after eight years next May, said: "I'm delighted for Zac – he's principled, hard-working, and dedicated, he's fizzing with ideas, and he's passionate about London and its people.
"In May next year this city needs its new mayor to be a fighter, someone who's not afraid to knock some plaster off the political ceiling in pursuit of the best possible deal for London. Zac Goldsmith is that fighter. He's fearless. He will make a brilliant mayor."

Goldsmith was standing against three Tory rivals in the contest. Syed Kamall, the leader of the Conservatives in the European Parliament, came second with 1,477 votes – 16% of the vote. Stephen Greenhalgh, the deputy mayor for policy and crime, got 864 votes while Andrew Boff, a member of the London Assembly, won 372 votes.
Last month Sadiq Khan beat long-term favourite Tessa Jowell to win Labour's nomination. He said: "I welcome Zac Goldsmith to the mayoral contest and look forward to a positive and friendly debate about the big issues facing Londoners.
"This election is a referendum on London's housing crisis, and I challenge Zac Goldsmith to join me in opposing the Tories' Housing Bill, which will make our city's housing crisis many times worse."

Australian of the Year joins the growing chorus of people pressuring the prime minister to close detention centres on Manus Island and Nauru.
Australian of the Year Rosie Batty put her name to an open letter to the prime minister Malcolm Turnbull demanding that he shut down the offshore detention centres on Manus Island and Nauru. It was sent to Turnbull by a group of academics called Researchers Against Pacific Black Sites.
"Those of us who care about violence against women, children and other vulnerable people at home need to care about what happens to these same people elsewhere who are under our care. The Australian government funds the offshore detention centres on Nauru and Manus Island. The centres are, by their very design, unsafe and dangerous places," Batty writes.

"As organisations and individuals working against violence against women, children and men inside Australia, we stand with the children, women and men held in Australian-funded detention centres overseas, in conditions that expose them to systematic violence," the letter reads.
"We feel that you can't actually separate violence on the Australian mainland with violence being perpetrated in Australian-run detention centres abroad," Suvendrini Perera from Researchers Against Pacific Black Sites told BuzzFeed News.
"This letter was a way of getting feminists, gay men, children, people who worked against violence against women, to get them to look at what was happening outside out borders," she said.

64 scholars this week signed another open letter after the UN’s human rights expert cancelled his trip to Australia because he believed the Border Force Act that gags detention centre workers would prevent him from being able to carry out an investigation.
"This threat of reprisals with persons who would want to cooperate with me on the occasion of this official visit is unacceptable," UN Rapporteur Francois Crepeau said.
"The Act prevents me from fully and freely carrying out my duties during the visit, as required by the UN guidelines for independent experts carrying out their country visits," he said.
Under the Border Force Act, immigration detention centre employees face prison term of two years if they speak out about the conditions of the detention centres.

"Many women across Australia understand only too well what it is like to live in fear of violence and sexual assault."
"That’s why we can no longer watch in silence as some of the world’s most vulnerable people confront that horror in the twilight world of Australia’s detention centres," the petition reads.
