Actress Angela Yeung, who goes by the stage name Angelababy, wanted nothing to do with that understated nonsense at her Oct. 8 wedding to Huang Xiaoming.

Instead, they shelled out $31 million for one of the most lavish weddings in China's history.
By comparison, Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding reportedly cost $34 million, which included some very heavy security.

What did their $31 million get them? Holographic castles, a 10-foot-tall carousel-shaped wedding cake, and a cell phone as a favor for each of their 2,000 guests...to name a few details.

1. You don't need most of your stuff.
It's amazing how much stuff we collected when we were in one place. As you keep moving, you'll be forced to re-evaluate what you're moving. Even if you're not traveling, challenge yourself by doing the 333 project, where you only use 33 items of clothing and accessories for 3 months. You change them each season.

2. It's not that hard to make friends.
It seems that once everyone makes it to the work force, we have less incentive and opportunity to make friends — but making friends actually isn't as complicated as it seems. We've made friends while hiking, chatting with random people at bars, and we've even gotten to know some of our neighbors, which is far too uncommon these days.
You might feel out of practice, but as long as you're friendly, genuine, and make the effort, you'll find that finding a group of local friends isn't a problem. You just have to swallow that pride and put yourself out there.

McDonald's Is Testing Sweet Potato Fries
McDonald's customers in Amarillo, Texas will get to try a new side dish: sweet potato fries. The chain is testing them in restaurants that offer the customizable Create Your Taste menu.
If the trial goes well, we could see sweet potato fries at more McDonald's locations beyond Texas.
As part of its new strategy, McDonald's is taking a more regional approach to menu launches. "Sweet potatoes are most popular in the South, where per capita use was estimated to 5.7 pounds in 2001," according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, that's "more than twice that of the West (2.6 pounds), which consumes the fewest sweet potatoes."
Still there could be a reason the orange fries haven't already made it onto more fast food menus. McDonald's isn't the first chain to offer them. Burger King had the fries for a brief period in 2012, but they're off menus now.
Demand for the root vegetable simply may not be that high, and most people only cook sweet potatoes as a seasonal dish during the holidays. It hasn't been that popular for decades.
Per capita use of sweet potatoes peaked in 1920 at 29.5 pounds and declined to about 4.1 pounds per year in the 1980s, remaining about stable since then, according to the USDA.
"Further concentrated effort will be required to coax the highly nutritious sweet potato out of the holiday shadow and into everyday life," the agency wrote. McDonald's is giving it a shot.
