Robots can have too much time on their hands too, I guess?
This robot can complete a Rubik's Cube in 1.02 seconds.
That's about enough time to blink three times. It's more than twice as fast as the previous fastest robot, which took 2.39 seconds.

The fastest human takes more than four times as long – a 14-year-old called Lucas Etter became the first person to "break the five-second barrier" in November last year.
He takes 4.90 seconds, and it's pretty amazing to watch.

However, there doesn't seem to be anything in the World Cube Association's guidelines which disallow that. The robot's builders are going to submit it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
