Use Plymouth gin and you can make lots of punny jokes about Puritans and Hester Prynne.

Makes 1
1.5 oz gin (recommended: Plymouth)
.5 oz Cointreau
.5 oz fresh lemon juice, strained
.5 oz canned jellied cranberry sauce
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously with ice for 20 seconds, and fine strain into a coupe glass.
Top with 1 oz. Champagne or sparkling wine.
Garnish with a lemon wheel.

A slightly nutty dessert cocktail ideal for a post Thanksgiving feast.

Serves 1
2 oz rum (recommended: Banks Golden Age Rum)
.75 heavy cream
.75 canned jellied cranberry sauce
.25 Luxardo Amaretto
1 egg white
Combine ingredients in a shaking tin, "dry shake" (incorporate all of the ingredients without ice first), and then shake all of the ingredients with ice.
Fine strain into an egg coupe. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
