Is the end near for the silicon chip?
Although our technology is becoming more advanced, we may someday reach a limit where it is harder to create both smaller and more powerful technology. Physicist Dr. Dominic Walliman gives an introductory explanation to another model known as Quantum Computing, which utilizes the properties of atoms to transfer information instead of silicon. Although it is still in it's infancy, the ability to use complex numbers instead of single digit bits to execute tasks holds many advantages over modern computing today.
