Everyone's Favourite Hot Tongan Flag Bearer Has Explained All That Oil
Pita Taufatofua, the Tongan flag bearer who rose to prominence by being exceedingly hot during the Rio opening ceremony, has explained the significance of all that he was covered in on the night.

The Tongan taekwdondo competitor became an instant fan favorite when he led his country out during the parade of nations.
And lots of people were wondering about all that body oil.
Ahead of his competition this week, Taufatofua has explained why he was covered in oil on his Facebook page.

"Coconut oil is an integral part of indigenous Oceanian body adornment. Typically performers apply copious amounts of coconut oils on their body as a celebration of the symmetry of the human body as well as a mark of ancestral identity," he said.
He also explained the significance of the rest of his outfit, and asked people sign a petition calling on Disney to fund a scholarship fund in the Pacific Islands. You can read the whole post here.

These Regular People Tried Hurdles And It Was Pretty Damn Uncoordinated
The emotional hurdles we had to overcome were the real challenge here.

A Dad Accidentally Ate Four Pot Brownies And Cursed Out His Cat
The man “was displaying odd behavior,” police said, which included “crawling around on the floor, calling their cat a ‘bitch,’ randomly using profanities, and saying he feels like ‘he’s trippin’.’”
An Omaha dad accidentally ate four pot brownies on Tuesday and had a not-so-chill experience with it, Omaha police confirmed to BuzzFeed News.

The 53-year-old man named Michael Gollehon found the brownies while unloading groceries from the backseat of his car, which his adult children had borrowed earlier that day.
Police were called in due to reports of an "accidental overdose."
His wife told police he "started getting bad anxiety" while watching TV. She tried calling their daughter to find out what was in the brownies but was unable to reach her.
Their son soon arrived and told his parents the brownies belonged to his siblings, and he was "pretty sure it was just marijuana in the brownies."
Gollehon "was displaying odd behavior," police said, which included "crawling around on the floor, calling their cat a 'bitch,' randomly using profanities, and saying he feels like 'he's trippin''."
Paramedics were called and found the man's "vitals were in the normal range." He refused a transport to the hospital, and was instead helped into bed by the paramedics.

This Australian Paralympian Is The New Face Of An Underwear Label
She’ll also be competing in two different sports in Rio.
This September, 19-year-old Rae Anderson will be representing Australia at the 2016 Paralympics in discus and javelin.
She'll be the only Australian woman to compete in both sports at the games.
In addition to her sporting success, Rae has just been named the face of underwear brand, Modibodi. She's the first Australian woman with a disability to be the ambassador of an underwear label.

This Celebrity Divorce Has Completely Consumed China
Literally millions of comments calling Ma Rong, the wife of a beloved Chinese actor, a bitch and worse have poured in since Sunday.
At the stroke of midnight on Sunday, Weibo absolutely exploded over a divorce announcement from Wang Baoqiang, an actor and beloved superstar in China.

The post has received a whopping number of comments —almost three million — leaving the Chinese internet in a mix of disbelief and anger, resulting in total chaos.
In the letter, Wang not only announced that he would end the marriage, but also made very clear as to why: he accused his wife and his agent of having an affair.
Four days later, Ma Rong, Wang's wife and business partner, is a household name in China too — though in a much more negative light.
The two used to appear very loving in public, like when Wang kneeled in front of her at a screening of one of his films in Cannes.
With Ma mostly out of the limelight except next to Wang, the public only saw him providing her with love, family, and money.
"Baoqiang is from the countryside, he ate lots of bitter," one user wrote, using a common Chinese proverb used to denote suffering in the pursuit of goals. "He earned every penny that you use," they continued in their plea to Ma, "please don't take any of his hard-earned money from him."
Wang was also once recorded saying, "my wife is not easy. She's such a beautiful girl, and yet she was willing to give me two children at a young age. She put down everything for me, of course I need to be a good man."

There are, of course, different variations on the Aussie treat, so we decided to test them out to see if any actually beat the original.

J.K. Rowling Is Releasing Three New eBooks Next Month
*Still holds out hope for that dang encyclopedia.*
Hot on the heels of last month's release of the Cursed Child script, J.K. Rowling has announced that she will be publishing three new books about the Harry Potter universe.
The three books will be released electronically only, and are about 10,000 words each. The collection will focus on Hogwarts, with the hint that there will be more collections in the future about other aspects of the wizarding world.

But don't get too excited. The books will mainly be content which has already been released on Pottermore, like Umbridge's backstory and Lupin's childhood.
Some new and ~exclusive~ writing will be included. We'll get to learn more about Slughorn, and also about McGonagall's involvement in the Second Wizarding War which will be INTERESTING AF.
Pottermore
The three stories will be separated by different themes.
The titles of the three books are:
Short Stories from Hogwarts: Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, which will "provide a window into the darker side of the wizarding world" and discuss power and treachery within the castle walls.
Short Stories from Hogwarts: Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies, which will focus on McGonagall and Lupin.
Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide, which is about the school itself, and will apparently give us more insights into the secrets of the castle and grounds.
Pottermore
The books are currently available for preorder on Pottermore and Amazon, and will be released on September 6th.
