In a Q&A on his Facebook back in 2015, the writer and director of Guardians, James Gunn, revealed that not all of the film's Easter eggs had been found.

Referring to it as "the big one", the Easter egg has eluded fans since the film's opening. And while many fans of the Marvel universe have made valiant efforts to unearth as many hidden gems as they can, Gunn stays adamant that no one has cracked his big secret yet.

But there are those who have their doubts the Easter egg even exists! While answering questions on his Facebook last week, Gunn was asked if he ever planned on revealing the secret.

In the thread, Gunn was accused of making the whole thing up - which is where things REALLY got interesting. In response to his actions being called "the ultimate troll", Gunn wagered $100,000 that the Easter egg exists.

"If there is no Easter egg I will give you a hundred thousand dollars - copy this post - I will consider it a legally binding contract - signed, James Gunn." The director accompanied the message with a selfie, just to prove he is 100% serious about the deal.

This Is What It's Like Being The Only Medical Professional In An Isolated Syrian Town

On Sunday afternoon in Sydney, Australia, Syrian nurse Khaled Naanaa answered a call from the mountainous village of Madaya, in his homeland, where the sun has just risen.

"We did abdominal surgery last night and [the patient] is short of breath and we think there is fluid in his lungs, what should we do?" a veterinarian, now the most qualified medical professional left in the town, asked Naanaa.

"I told them to do a chest x-ray but they have run out of film and processing materials for the machine," Naanaa told BuzzFeed News, before talking the veterinarian through what to do next.

Naanaa arrived in Madaya in 2012. But as surgeons and doctors fled the worsening conflict, he soon found himself the most qualified medical professional in the rebel-held town.

"I learned how to do operations on YouTube," he told BuzzFeed News.

"We did caesarian sections, open abdominal surgery, urgent surgery and amputations and it was just me, two dentistry students and the veterinarian."

In 2012, Assad regime militants allowed "baby milk formula, simple oral medications and analgesics" through to the medical centre, Naanaa said, but by 2015 "nothing was allowed to go through the military siege".

"We had about 200 people coming in every day."

Naanaa's wife and young daughter would visit from their home in Damascus when there was a relative lull in the bombings.

But in June 2015, Naanaa said there were "double the military checkpoints, double the barricades and heavy involvement from [Iran-backed militant group] Hezbollah".

"As well as the normal military barriers, they planted mines all around the area and there were eight adults and three children who lost their limbs and we had to amputate."

By July 2015 the regime had completely cut Madaya and it's 40,000 citizens off from food and medical supplies, and some of Naanaa's patients began to starve to death.

"If they could have stopped the air, they would have stopped the air," Naanaa told BuzzFeed News.

He said his appeals to various international aid agencies for assistance went nowhere.

"Out of desperation we then started communicating with single activists and trying to appeal to people's basic humanitarian conscious and asking them to demonstrate for Madaya," he said.

Naanaa shared photos and videos of starving Syrians on his phone, and a video of nine-year-old Mohammad, seen below, went viral and garnered international support, he said.

"[Mohammed] was only in there for malnutrition and hunger," Naanaa said.

28 people, including six babies, died from hunger before help arrived, according to Naanaa.

"There were so many kids and we did our best to save their lives but there were so many."

Five days after the world shared Naanaa's images of his starving patients, the first convoy of aid entered Madaya On January 11 of this year.

Naanaa said he received death threats for exposing the Assad regime's starvation tactics.

"I had to walk for three days across the borders to Lebanon by myself and I knew there was a high risk I'd step on a mine but I had to do it," he said.

A deep scar runs over his ankle from an injury he said he sustained under fire from "those loyal to Islamic State" while trying to cross the border.

"It is unbelievable that all the remaining hospitals are completely destroyed now," Naanaa said.

"The images we saw [on Saturday] especially from the incubators in the nurseries which had to be switched off and the kids who were taken out, that breaks my heart."

Naanaa and his wife and child are now Australian citizens and live in Perth on Australia's west coast as part of the federal government's one-off Syrian and Iraqi refugee program.

He still fields up to 20 calls a day from Madaya where medical supplies remain scarce.

Naanaa said he is "very frustrated" by what he said was a lack of intervention from the international community to protect medical staff.

"I worked there and I never felt safe because of a lack of protection."

His story, as told by journalist Sophie McNeill, airs at 8:00.m. on Monday night (AEST) on ABC's Australian Story.

Please put down the turkey baster.

You wait too long to buy a turkey.

You wait too long to buy a turkey.

If you're buying a frozen, conventional turkey (like Butterball) from the supermarket, buy it 1-2 weeks in advance and store it in your freezer.

If you're buying a fresh turkey (conventional OR free range organic) from the supermarket, you can't pick it up too far ahead of time, because it'll go bad. But you can and should call the supermarket to reserve your fresh turkey at least two weeks in advance.

If you're ordering a super fancy turkey, such as a Heritage turkey, order online at least a month in advance. The turkey will be delivered to you the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

The best way to thaw your turkey is in the refrigerator, where a turkey thaws at a rate of 4 pounds per day. So, a 16-pound turkey will take four days to thaw.

If it's already too late and you need to thaw your turkey ASAP, here's how.

You don't realize that many turkeys are pre-brined.

You don't realize that many turkeys are pre-brined.

That frozen Butterball "Contains up to 8% of a solution of Water, Salt, Spices, and Natural Flavor." That means Butterball did the brining already in order to extend the shelf life of the turkey. The same is true for kosher turkeys, so always check the ingredient list, and if there's already salt injected into your turkey, don't brine it.

Hundreds Protest Pro-Trump Swastikas At Park Named For "Beastie Boys" Member

A large protest against hateful graffiti brought out hundreds on Saturday to Adam Yauch Park — a Brooklyn park dedicated to the late member of the Beastie Boys — after swastikas and the words “Go Trump” were found on playground equipment on Friday.

With temperatures in the low-40s, fans of the Beastie Boys, community leaders, local residents, New York elected officials, and Jewish and Muslim leaders gathered to “denounce hate and intimidation in Brooklyn and across the country,” according to a flyer tweeted by the legendary rap group’s Twitter account.

During the protest, chants of “Not in our country! Not in our name!” could be heard after NY State Senator Daniel Squadron led the crowd in singing the national anthem.

Signs reading “Racism is not welcome here,” “Denounce hate,” and “Trump: Where’s your anti-Nazi tweet?” were visible in the crowd that packed the 1.36 acre park.

“Spray painting swastikas in a children's playground is a messed up thing to do,” Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz, a member of the Beastie Boys, told the crowd.

Horowitz said that Yauch “was someone that taught non-violence in his music and his life, to all of us, and to me.”

Yauch, a Buddhist convert, was an ardent supporter of non-violence and consistently stood up to anti-Muslim sentiment well before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Spencer Platt / Getty Images

“I think that another thing America needs to think about is our racism, racism that comes from the United States towards Muslim people and towards Arabic people,” Yauch said at the MTV Video Awards in 1998.

“And that's something that has to stop, and the United States has to start respecting people in the Middle East in order to find a solution to the problem that's been building up over the years,” Yauch said.

youtube.com

Yauch died in 2012 after a three-year battle with throat cancer. The park was dedicated to the founding member of the Beastie Boys the following year.

A New York City Department of Parks & Recreation website for Adam Yauch Park states that "Yauch grew up playing in this playground" which was "the setting for some of Yauch and his family's fondest memories, including his father Noel teaching him to ride a bike."

Park officials have since removed the hateful graffiti and the matter is currently under investigation.

Protestors took to social media to share their anti-hate message, including actor Ben Stiller, who was in attendance.

What Do You Think Should Be 2016's Word Of The Year?

Joe Sugg And Caspar Lee Compete In Hilarious US-Themed Challenges

$

Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee have amassed an astonishing 14.4 million followers on YouTube and 8.2 million Twitter followers between them. By the time you've read this sentence they will no doubt have been followed by even more. But they've expanded outside the realms of YouTube and social media: They've just finished a live tour called Joe & Caspar Hit the Road USA and this week they released a DVD of the same name.

In the film they travel through North America, competing in numerous tasks while they're there. So when they visited BuzzFeed UK recently, we decided to put them to the test with some US-themed challenges. And the results were as hilarious as you'd expect. Here's what went down...

1. Beer Pong

Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed

First of all, we think you should know that we listed five challenges for Joe and Caspar. They opted to do beer pong first – it was 10am on a Monday morning. TEN AM on a MONDAY MORNING.

Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed

This time Joe and Caspar had to run around a baseball bat five times to make sure they were nice and dizzy, then see how many jumping jacks they could do in 30 seconds afterwards. This was reduced to 23 seconds when Joe realised how hard it was. LMAO. So here's what happened in 23 seconds...

And finally...

5. Hot dog eating challenge

Laura Gallant / BuzzFeed

The best challenge of them all! Joe and Caspar had a mound of hot dogs each, as seen above. They had to see how many they could eat in three minutes and the winner was the one who managed the most. It was way harder than it sounds and one of them failed quite miserably...

Joe wasn't sure about Caspar's technique.
