Jeb Bush Is Struggling To Be Liked On Facebook

Enthusiasm for Bush wasn’t super high on Facebook last week. And compared to other contenders like Walker and Rand, the sentiment for Bush has generally been lower all year.

When people talked about Jeb Bush last week on Facebook, it wasn't positive and it wasn't as often as many of the other big contenders for the Republican nomination.

When people talked about Jeb Bush last week on Facebook, it wasn't positive and it wasn't as often as many of the other big contenders for the Republican nomination.

BuzzFeed News has a partnership with Facebook for the 2016 election, and we get two sets of data: how often someone is mentioned (the number of interactions about that person in statuses and on pages) and how positively they are talked about (what the sentiment is in status posts — positive, negative, and neutral). We put them together in the graphic above.

The graphic is relative. For example, Bernie Sanders held a 53% positive sentiment this past week and is at the midpoint here.

But check out where Jeb Bush lands!

You can see this better when you remove Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton and zoom in a little:

You can see this better when you remove Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton and zoom in a little:

Last week, Bush was less talked about than Scott Walker and Rand Paul — and less positively. The sentiment in posts about Bush on Facebook was 41% positive, compared to 59% and 55% for Walker and Paul, respectively.

That lack of enthusiasm on Facebook matches up with something that donors and operatives are saying, as the New York Times reported on Saturday night: Bush isn't inevitable, despite the air of inevitability the proto-campaign projected earlier this year.

And this wasn't just that week.

And this wasn't just that week.

When you compare Bush with other candidates who have approximately the same level of interaction on Facebook, the trend line this year bears out — Bush is generally less positively talked about.

Kiernan Shipka's Life After Sally Draper

After spending her formative years on Mad Men, Kiernan Shipka understands that the world knows her simply as Sally Draper.

"Mad Men was such a huge part of my life, and I adore the character Sally, and I don't really think there's anyone like her because she's original," the 15-year-old actor, who was 8 when she was cast on the groundbreaking AMC series, told BuzzFeed News in a phone interview. "We've seen her grow and change and evolve over time and really become a strong, independent person."

And now, with Mad Men airing its final episodes this spring, it's Shipka's turn to grow and change and evolve.

At the SXSW Film Festival this weekend, she appeared in the supernatural drama One & Two, her first major post-Sally role. But Shipka wasn't in Austin for the screening — she's been in Ottawa, Canada, shooting the thriller February with Emma Roberts, after wrapping the high school comedy Fan Girl with Meg Ryan last fall.

"I just want to do material that I love," she said. "I like drama. I like comedy. … I hope I get the opportunities to play lots of different types of people."

Her character in One & Two certainly qualifies as different from Sally: Eva lives with her brother Zac (Homeland's Timothée Chalamet), her fragile mother (Elizabeth Reaser), and her strict father (Grant Bowler) in pre-industrial isolation on a vast wooded farm surrounded on all sides by a massive, ancient-seeming wall. That wall, it turns out, is not to keep people out, but to keep Eva and Zac in — they can teleport simply by looking at where they want to go, concentrating, and then zapping themselves through space in a puff of wind and dust, which carries dire consequences for both siblings.

"My character had never seen the outside world, and that was definitely
not a character that I've ever played before," said Shipka. "It was really cool to film because I'd never really worked with the effects. There was always some kind of fun way they were doing it with some sort of leaf blower or wind machine or something to get the effect."

After finishing shooting One & Two in North Carolina, which is seeking distribution at SXSW, Shipka took just a weekend off before going on to film Fan Girl in Long Island, New York. "Which was polar opposite — [a] modern teenager," she said. "It was kind of a funny little switch. I went into the super-modern mode."

The word "strong" comes up consistently when Shipka discusses the young women she's played and, as an actor, she's also resolute in her convictions about the roles she hopes to continue to take on.

"I'm really just drawn to strong characters, very real characters," Shipka said. "A myriad of different things. … It's just sort of about picking stuff, hopefully, that I really, really am into."

Other child actors transitioning from adolescence into young adulthood often take a hiatus from Hollywood — to pursue a college degree, another passion, or just decompress from the grind of performing on camera starting at such a young age. But Shipka doesn't see herself slowing down.

"As far as taking a break from acting goes, I don't plan on doing that anytime soon. I really don't want to," she said. "I graduated high school last year, and I'm starting up college courses now. And I don't know if I'm going to go a traditional school or not, but I never want to stop learning."

The final season of Mad Men premieres April 5 on AMC.

Sex Q&A: How Safe Are Rim Jobs, Actually?

We asked three experts for all the precautions you should take before mouth-to-butt contact happens.

Welcome to the new BuzzFeed Sex Q&A where you can ask us your awkward, confusing, gross, embarrassing, or thought-provoking questions, and we'll provide answers from leading sexual health experts. Have a question about sex or sexual health? Send it to sexQs@buzzfeed.com.

This week’s question:

This week’s question:

Jenny Chang / BuzzFeed

Q: I have a partner who is infinitely giving in the sack. He rocks my socks off. He's always so busy doing things to/for me that I get too distracted to do much for him. I would love to change this.

One thing he's mentioned once or twice is that he'd like a rim job. In theory I would love to do this if it would give him as much pleasure as he has given me, but I have a few hesitations. Namely, if it is safe/healthy to do this without a barrier.

We are monogamous and I'm on the Pill so we don't otherwise use condoms or dental dams for any bedroom activities.

My googling turns up many different answers from sexperts and normal people, and I don't know how to separate the information wheat from the chaff. The more cautious sources indicate that one should use a dental dam (with some lube on the receiver's side of the dam). Many other sources act like this is an unnecessarily uptight precaution and having a basically clean body is good enough.

I'm not able to discern if the idea of using a dental dam in this scenario is like the recommendation to use a dental dam for cunnilingus or a condom for fellatio, i.e., if it's what "they" should say to give you safer sex information, but in reality many monogamous couples who have been tested for STIs are unlikely to use these and they will (usually) be OK.

In a nutshell, my question is this: Is it reasonably safe to perform unprotected analingus on someone (with whom you are monogamous) who is not experiencing intestinal distress and has showered that day? Or is there always a greater risk for some kind of illness from gastrointestinal bacteria and one should always use a barrier?

Signed,

Would Like to Please

Hi, Would Like to Please! Thanks so much for your question. To help answer it, we checked in with a few experts from various fields, including: New York City sex therapist Dr. Stephen Snyder, proctologist Dr. David Rosenfeld, and Dr. Dennis Fortenberry, professor of pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine, who specializes in the research of health risk behaviors and STDs. Here's what they had to say:

Actually, analingus (or rim jobs, rimming, oral anal, tossing salad... whichever term you’d prefer) is reasonably safe to perform without a barrier method — at least in your VERY specific circumstances.

Actually, analingus (or rim jobs, rimming, oral anal, tossing salad... whichever term you’d prefer) is reasonably safe to perform without a barrier method — at least in your VERY specific circumstances.

First of all, kudos for putting so much thought into this request. It's awesome that you're looking for ways to ~give back~ to your partner and that you want to make sure you're both being super safe. You guys are like the model for healthy experimenting in a consensual, monogamous relationship. Seriously, you rock. Anyways...

Now, we're not saying that rim jobs are totally without risk, but if you're taking the right precautions you should be able to perform unprotected analingus on your partner and be confident that you're being as safe as possible, says Snyder. Here are the major things to keep in mind:
